At Open Academy, regular online webcam flute or oboe lessons are co-ordinated for those who would like lessons with Nicholas or Sien, but who live too far away to travel to Somerset in the UK. Many other students have family or work commitments which make travelling in person to Open Academy less easy.

All you need is a broadband connection, a webcam with an in-built microphone (these are very reasonable, starting from around £15). You can use the inbuilt speakers on your computer/laptop
